Florida infant dead, mother critical after being struck by car in Woodstock

WOODSTOCK, GA. - A Florida infant is dead and her mother is in critical condition after they, and one other person, were struck by a car on Saturday night in Woodstock.

Police said Kathy Deming, 61, of Marietta, and Kaitlyn Hunt, 28, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., are in critical condition after they were struck by a Jeep that was being driven by Zoe Reardon, 17, of Atlanta.

The women and Hunt's three-month-old daughter, Riley, were crossing Arnold Mill Road and Main Street, near Woodstock City Park, where a concert was being held. All three victims were taken to a local hospital, where the infant was pronounced dead.

Both Deming and Hunt suffered broken bones and internal injuries. Police are continuing their investigation, but no charges have yet been filed.
