Former Forysth Co. Sheriff's Deputy arrested for sexual assault and battery

FORSYTH COUNTY - A former Forsyth Co. sheriff's deputy is facing charges of sexual battery and sexual assault against a minor.
DFC Epifanio Rodriguez, with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, says a juvenile girl told authorities that Frank Augustus Huggins inappropriately groped her while he was was her driving instructor. Investigators confirmed her allegations from the camera footage inside the vehicle.
Huggins, who is 73-years-old, was arrested on Wednesday. He was appointed as Captain by former Sheriff Ted Paxton in 2001. During his employment, Huggins was also the spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office.  Huggins retired from the force in 2010.
