Gladys Knight Chicken & Waffles in Midtown fails health inspection

ATLANTA -- Gladys Knight Signature Chicken & Waffles in Midtown received a failing grade on their most recent health inspection report.

The popular southern cuisine restaurant, located at 529 Peachtree St., was cited with a "U" grade. The "U" denotes anything number score 69 or lower. They received a 56. Take a look here.

According to Fulton County Public Health Inspection website, the restaurant had 15 infractions. They were cited for the cleanliness of food-contact and non-food contact surfaces, cleanliness of hands, thermometers and wiping cloths, among other things. Three of the violations were known risk factors for foodborne illness.

Before the Feb. 18 inspection, they received an "A" grade for a score of 94. That was on April 8, 2015. Before that, on March 26, 2015, the restaurant received a "C" grade for a score of 79.
