Hall County toddler air lifted after scalding water burns

18-month-old child suffers second degree burns

HALL COUNTY, Ga. -- Hall County officials said a toddler has been air lifted to an area hospital after apparently receiving second degree burns from boiling water.

Details are limited however, officials did confirm that the child was at the 7200 block of Plum Creek Drive in eastern Hall County.

Initial reports are that the child had burns over 30 percent of the body.  The child was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital 

The circumstances leading up to the incident are not yet known.

The Hall County Fire Marshal's Office and the Hall County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident.
