How to find gas without driving pump-to-pump

Many metro Atlanta gas pumps are dry after a gasoline spill in Alabama.

Many local gas stations are out of gas, spiking higher prices and long lines. Several drivers have expressed frustration after going from pump to pump to find a station with gas.

There is a tech solution to locating gas. The GasBuddy app collects information like prices and availability from gas stations and allows users to pinpoint which stations have gas.

The GasBuddy app is available on the Apple app store and on Google Play.

While the app has up to date information, there is a slight delay so it may be worth calling the gas stations to verfy before heading to the pump.

The average gas price in the state of Georgia jumped from $2.10 last week to $2.31 on Monday, according to AAA. That difference may grow as more stations run out of gas and the rules of supply and demand kick in.
