Police searching for man with dementia who 'walked out' from Grady

ATLANTA -- Police are searching for a missing man with dementia after he disappeared while receiving treatment at Grady Hospital.

According to investigators, Tommy Finch was last seen at the hospital around 6 p.m. on Sept. 9. Police say the 70-year-old lives in Tuskegee, Ala., but lived in the Atlanta area many years ago and drove to the city.

Doctors diagnosed him with dementia while at the hospital that day, but lost track of him when he simply walked out of the hospital. Police think he drove off in a black 1995 or 97 Nissan Maxima with an unknown tag number.

Officials describe Finch as a 6'1", 142-pound male with gray hair and brown eyes.

If anyone has seen Finch or has information on where he might be, they are asked to call police.
