COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- A cyclist was hit and injured by a car in Cobb County Wednesday morning.
It happened at around 6:30 a.m. on Cobb Parkway near Franklin Road, in the southbound lanes.
Marietta Police Officer David Auld said the victim, 22-year-old Dorian Robert Stevens, was trying to cross Cobb Parkway on his bicycle when he crossed into the path of an Infiniti FX35.
Stevens was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital in serious but stable condition. The Infiniti driver, 54-year-old Patrice Jeter, was in stable condition after the crash, and was taken to the same hospital for observation.
Southbound lanes of Cobb Parkway were closed at the scene as crews investigated the crash. The road has since reopened.
