MARIETTA, Ga. -- Train lines and one intersection were tied up for a few hours, Friday, after a train struck a semi truck.
The accident happened near the intersection of Loudermilk and Marble Hill roads around 10 a.m.
While the reason why the semi was on the tracks wasn't immediately released, the crash did cause some backups in the area though officials said they didn't believe tracks near Marietta Square were impacted.
Photos from the scene show the cab of the truck completely separated from the cargo with a CSX freight train in between. Despite this, there were no injuries reported.
