Ford, 52, was best-known for playing the role of Martin Lawrence's best friend in the 1990s sitcom "Martin."

However, Jay Mathis PR later Tweeted that Ford passed away at 4:50 p.m, "surrounded by family and close friends."
TMZ.com also reported the news, saying Ford died in an Atlanta hospital of a brain aneurysm.
