Competing against 48 other entries, Atlanta's SweetWater Brewing's Happy Ending picked up a silver medal in the American-style Stout category. SweetWater also landed a bronze medal in the American-Belgo-Style Ale category for its Whiplash.

Another Atlanta brewery, Monday Night Brewing, picked up a bronze medal in the Scotch Ale category for its Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale. Forty-six other entries competed against Drafty Kilt in the category.
