DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- Hundreds of students at The GLOBE Academy in DeKalb County are paying it forward with $20 bills.
The Rhame Family Foundation challenged students at the dual-language immersion charter school to pay it forward during this holiday season.
The students were asked to shake hands and pledge to make a difference with envelopes filled with $20 bills.
Some of the students posted their good works on Facebook.
One student bought clothes for a family in need, and another spent the money on toys for patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
The Rhame Family Foundation was founded in April of 2012. Tyson "Ty" Rhame, a native Atlanta businessman, established this foundation in order to give back to his community and encourage others to do the same.
The Rhame Family Foundation's primary mission is to support local public schools (K-12) with grants intended to enrich the learning experience of students and to assist local nonprofit organizations.
