NORCROSS, Ga. – Norcross Police are looking for a man they said robbed a Waffle House with a pitchfork Thursday evening.
It happened at about 5:25 p.m., and the Waffle House location at 5565 Buford Highway.
Police said the suspect laid the pitchfork down to get the cash drawer, when a female picked up the pitchfork and began hitting the suspect with it.
"It appears the suspect sustained some injuries from this incident," said a release from Norcross Police Chief Warren Summers.
The release said the suspect left the Waffle House in a white Ford F-250 pick-up, going southbound on Buford Highway. The female broke the rear window of the pick-up out as he left the Waffle House.
Police identified the suspect at Jeffrey Willard Wooten, 50. They described Wooten as a white male, 5-feet-9 inches tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes. They said he was wearing overalls and a blue ski mask. Investigators said Wooten will have injuries to his face and the back of his head.
Warrants have been issued for Wooten on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault. Anyone with any information about Wooten's whereabouts are asked to contact Detective Craig Dallape at 770-448-2111.
