CARTERSVILLE, Ga. - Police were called to a high school in Cartersville for an issue with one of its students Thursday morning.
Principal Mike Nelson said the student body’s safety at Cass High School was never in danger as the issue was isolated to one student.
In a statement to 11Alive, Nelson said the administrative team and law enforcement handled the situation quickly and appropriately.
“Please know that at no time did the issue deal with weapons or that would have placed the students at CHS in harm’s way,” Nelson said.
CHS is back to resuming under normal operations.
