ATLANTA - Atlanta police are looking for a man who they said shot the mother of his child. The shooting happened just before midnight on Monday on the 2900 block of Middleton Road in Lithonia.
Police said the woman called 911 to alert them that her child's father had just gotten out of prison and was on his way to her residence after she told him not to come. When he got to the home, they began to argue. Police said that argument resulted in the woman being physically assaulted. When the woman tried to get away, the he shot her twice in both her legs.
Police have not located the shell casings from the shooting. The man took off in a dark colored vehicle. The woman was taken to Grady hospital for treatment. No updates have been given on her condition.
