Police seeking public's help in finding Gainesville murder suspect

GAINESVILLE, GA - The Gainesville Police Department is actively seeking a wanted murder suspect and is asking for the public's help to find him.

Police are searching for Darvis Donquan Bledson, 33, for the murder of Terry Jerome "TJ" Maddox, 30.

Officers responded to the shooting in the 900 block of Athens Street around 11 p.m. Friday. Responding officers found Maddox with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Within hours of the shooting, investigators named Bledson, who also goes by the name "Tookie," as a suspect and issued a murder warrant for his arrest the following morning.

Bledson is believed to be in the metro Atlanta area and should be considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a black male, 5'5" and 175 pounds. He also has several distinct tattoos including the name "Michelle" on his neck. 

Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Bledson to call 911 or call investigator Raper at 770-535-3783.
