Police: Video captured masked robber before crime

MCDONOUGH, GA. - Henry County Police are searching for a masked robber, but they have a big clue to help them: they believe the suspect was captured on camera before he donned the mask.

In a Facbeook post, police detail the crime that occurred at a BP gas station on Hwy. 81 in McDonough. According to police, a black man entered the BP at 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6. Surveillance video captured his entrance, including a shot of his face.

Police say he quickly left in a white 4-door car parked behind the store. Forty minutes later, the same car returned and a black man wearing the same type of clothing with an added hoodie entered the store. This time, a green mask covered most of his face.

He robbed the BP at gun point. The white getaway car was last seen driving east on Highway 81.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Mellon (678) 656-4975.
