ATLANTA - A Cobb County father accused of intentionally killing his son now sits in a jail five hours away from metro Atlanta awaiting the start of his trial.
He has been booked into the Glynn County Jail in south Georgia. Jury selection will begin in Brunswick on Monday.
Harris is accused of leaving his 22 month-old son Cooper in a hot SUV to die in Vinings. The trial started in Cobb County last spring, but after nearly a month of questioning jurors, the judge in the case ruled there was no way to find an impartial panel in Cobb County, and granted a defense motion to change the trial's venue.
11Alive News will have a crew in Brunswick for the entire trial, providing gavel-to-gavel coverage on-air and on 11Alive.com.
