With Bobbi Kristina Brown's perilous condition unchanged, her boyfriend Nick Gordon is holding out hope and tweeting a picture of her name tattooed on his arm.
For the first time since the 21-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston was found unresponsive in a bathtub in their Georgia townhouse on Jan. 31, Gordon posted a hopeful message on Twitter.
"She is a strong person and will pull through this," his tweet read. "Continue to pray for her."
He also changed his avatar picture to one of his forearm with the name "Bobbi Kristina" tattooed in large and elaborate script. The header photo is of himself with Bobbi Kristina.
Gordon has been little heard from since Bobbi Kristina, who claimed to have married him last year, was found and he helped administer CPR.
His already tense relationship with members of both sides of her family has grown even more fraught, and he's been banned from her hospital room, where she is comatose and on life support.
Plus, he may be a focus of the Roswell, Ga., police investigation into what happened to Bobbi Kristina and whether foul play was involved.
Gordon's lawyer, Randall Kessler, confirmed the picture is of Gordon's tattoo, but declined further comment. It's not clear if this ink is new or has been there all along.
Gordon grew up with Bobbi Kristina after Houston took him in as a boy. He had been Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend for several years before she claimed to have married him. Her father, Bobby Brown, insists the two never married legally.
But his tweet marks the first message coming directly from him since the crisis began.
Last week, Kessler released a statement on his behalf saying he wanted to be with her at her bedside but denying her cousin's televised claims that Gordon planned legal action to gain access. Gordon also called for more prayers for her in the statement.
