ATLANTA (WXIA) -- Relatives of Bobbi Kristina Brown were at her side in the hospital Tuesday evening as she remained in a medically-induced coma.
The 21-year-old Brown has been in the coma since January 31, when she was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Roswell home.
It was believed Bobbi Kristina's grandmother, Cissy Houston was also at her Emory University Hospital bedside. She arrived with others just before 8 p.m. Bobbi Kristina's father, singer Bobby Brown has not been seen by 11Alive News crews there.
Family spokesperson and Bobby Brown's attorney, Christopher Brown issued a statement Tuesday afternoon thanking the community for Monday night's candlelight prayer vigil in Riverdale.
"The Brown family is amazed by all the love and support from all that attended," Brown's statement said.
When asked about the possibility of a criminal investigation into Bobbi Kristina's injuries, Roswell Police Chief Rusty Grant says his department conducts criminal investigations, saying, "That's what we do."
Grant said that does not mean criminal charges will be filed in the case.
Wednesday is the three-year anniversary of the death of Bobbi Kristina's mother, Whitney Houston. Speculation continues to run rampant that on that anniversary that Bobbi Kristina will be taken off of life support.
In the Tuesday statement, Chris Brown also addressed media reports on Bobbi Kristina's condition, singling out several news outlets for what he called "egregious" and "false."
However the false reports that continue to appear in print and on the internet are egregious, false and will be dealt with at an appropriate time. In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Daily Mail (UK) citing, police sources, family sources and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention. The desire to be "first" has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy.
This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence. We continue to request privacy in this matter. We thank everyone that supported the vigil for Bobbi Kristina. God is hearing our prayers.
