Shooter surrenders to police after killing 1, critically injuring another

Suspect in DeKalb County double shooting surrenders

DECATUR, GA. -
Tuesday morning, DeKalb County Police responded to a 911 call about a person shot. When they arrived at the scene on Kimlie Lane in Decatur, they found one man dead. A second man was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in serious to critical condition.
Police said the shooter, Jaren Sullivan surrendered at the scene. He's charged with murder and 2 counts aggravated assault.

Police said Sullivan has a child with the deceased victim's girlfriend. The second man Sullivan shot is the girlfriend's brother.
 
"A young woman went to go pick up her 3-year-old child from for ex-boyfriend's home. At that time she was with her brother and her current boyfriend. The current boyfriend and the ex-boyfriend exchanged words and the ex-boyfriend pulled a weapon and started firing," said Shiera Campbell, the Public Information Officer.
 
Police said there was also a one-year-old present during the shooting. None of the children were injured.
