2 caught stealing copper from railroad tracks

ATLANTA -- Two men were arrested after police caught them removing copper off railroad tracks.

The two were taken into custody Wednesday at around 1:15 a.m. They were spotted in the area of Fletcher Street and West Avenue in southwest Atlanta.

An Atlanta police officer said the pair took enough copper to fill half of a small trashcan.

The suspects' names were not immediately released.
