An unrestrained pit bull dog attacked five high school students near the intersection of Bromack and Baywood in southeast Atlanta on Friday morning. The students were waiting for their school bus when the dog ran by and bit them.
An Atlanta police officer responding to the attack was forced to shoot and kill the dog before it could further harm the children. It will now be tested for rabies by the animal control department.
The injuries sustained by the children were minor-to-moderate. All of them were taken to Grady Hospital for treatment.
