It was bound to happen. GOP vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin has been turned into an action figure.

After Palin was named to the number two slot on the GOP ticket, America's fascination with the Alaska governor spread like wildfire, with magazine covers featuring her selling rapidly in stores across the nation. Palin's first news interview after receiving the VP nod comes later this week, and now, Palin has been immortalized in plastic.

Hero Builders, a Connecticut-based company who has previously produced figures of President Bush, Democratic candidate Barack Obama, Vice President Dick Cheney and Sen. Hillary Clinton, has produced the figure of Palin, which comes in two versions. The first, features "Sarah Palin The Executive" and has her wearing a dark suit, and shows her complete with her glasses and her hair pulled into a bun. The second version of the action figure, "Sarah Palin The Super Hero" features Gov. Palin in a long dark coat, a white mini-skirt and with a revolver strapped to her thigh.

The executive version of the fully-articulated 12-inch action figure is $27.95, while the super hero version goes for $29.95.
