Atlanta Food Bank Needs Help

ATLANTA -- The Food Bank held an event Saturday in cojunction with Hunger Action Month.

A donation drive ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 732 Joseph E. Lowry Boulevard NW in Atlanta during which time they collected 6,000 pound of food and $1,000 in cash donations.

Those who were unable to attend Saturday's event can still give by going to the Atlanta Community Food Bank's website and make a monetary donation.

For every dollar the Food Bank receives, it can return $8.28 worth of food and grocery products back to the community.
