Where To Watch The Inauguration

ATLANTA -- For those who want to gather with others or simply find somewhere where they can watch Tuesday's inaugural activities in Metro Atlanta, a number of locations can be found across the area.

Centennial Olympic Park -- Turner Network Sales (TNS), Comcast, Q100, Peachtree TV and Centennial Olympic Park are partnering to allow a large Atlanta audience to view the presidential inauguration. CNN's telecast of the inauguration ceremony will be shown on two large LED screens at the park. No glass, alcohol, signage or pets will be allowed at the event and all bags are subject to search. Q100's "The Bert Show" will broadcast live and emcee the event at the park. Comcast is inviting area schools to the park and Peachtree TV's Jeff Johnson will be in attendance, as well. The event will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

New Birth Missionary Baptist Church -- Kiss 104.1's Cynthia Young will broadcast live from New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. CNN coverage of the ceremonies will be carried on big screens at the church. The doors open at 9 a.m. at the church at

Atlanta Civic Center -- Doors open at 9 a.m., with an invocation being delivered at 10:30, followed by pre-recorded video messages, and a video montage of Barack Obama's campaign entitled "Victory! Road To The White House." Live video coverage of the inauguration will follow on big screens.

Spelman College -- Students will be able to watch the inauguration ceremonies and inaugural parade in several locations on campus: Lower Manley Lower Concourse (Student Center); LLCII Auditorium; Science Center Auditorium; Cosby Auditorium; Sisters Chapel; Manley Center Atrium (Student Center).

Sweet Auburn Historic Pilgrimage -- A pilgrimage from the historic national headquarters of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference at 334 Auburn Avenue will begin at 9 a.m., and end at the King Center. Charles Johnson is director of the sponsoring group, the Spirit of Sweet Auburn Foundation. Special guests and community leaders are expected to join the pilgrimage walk.
