Rapper Lil Wayne will not face felony drug charges.
A Fulton County judge dismissed the charges against the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter.
Carter was arrested in August 2006 at the Twelve Hotel in Atlanta after police say they found unmarked bottles containing hydrocodone and a generic form of Xanax, along with a small amount of marijuana.
During a court hearing, Carter's attorney filed a motion to suppress on the basis of an illegal search.
The attorney says Carter was not staying in the room where the drugs were found.
He was arrested on a fugitive warrant in October 2007 for failing to appear at a court date in Fulton County on the charges.
His attorney says his client never received the summons because it was sent to his former home in New Orleans, which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
