COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- Kids who come to Cobb County's Safepath are going through the worst days of their lives. If a child is there, a parent is doing something wrong - usually to them.

Many people want to help in any way they can.

For 25 years, artists with the Foundation for Hospital Art have put art in places people never thought they'd be -- like emergency rooms, or Safepath.

"The shock of suddenly being here is what we want to soften," said John Feight.

In the 80s, Feight sought out a purpose for his art. While painting a picture in a hospital a patient said, I'd like to do that. Now, a quarter-century later, 500,000 people have painted John's stenciling. They join in team building or volunteer projects.

A cancer survivor himself, John's goal is to place art in every hospital in the world for free. So far, it's in over 2,000 -- in almost every country.

Millions and millions of frequent flyer miles, but it's the little ones in Cobb County he's focused on today.

"I actually believe even young people react and think someone did this to comfort me," he said.

The Junior League will send a group to Safepath in a few weeks to paint the rest of the mural. They're doing it because they want to help.
