WASHINGTON -- The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued three separate recalls regarding products deemed dangerous to young children.
The first is the recall of a million Maclaren strollers after the fingertips of 12 children were amputated by a hinge mechanism. Nine models, including single and double strollers sold at Target and Babies R Us, have been recalled. Get more details on Momslikeme.com by clicking here.
The second is the recall of the Young Artist Easel, which has a paint board on one side and a chalkboard on the other. The CPSC determined that the coating on the chalkboard side of the easel has high levels of lead. Get more details by clicking here.
Finally, a wooden playset blamed for 16 injuries including nine emergency room visits is part of a voluntary recall. Rotting wood on The Adventure Playsets Wooden Play Sets is causing a fall hazard, mainly with children falling when their swing came out of the rotted monkey bar/swing beam.
