Child Taken To Hospital After Being Burned By Water

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- A child was taken to the hospital with serious burns Saturday.

According to a release from the Gwinnett County Fire Department, a 10-year-old child was accidently burned by hot water from the kitchen stove.  Paramedics found the child conscious, alert and breathing. The child, who is not being identified by officials due to HIPAA laws, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.

The incident happened at the Magnolia Point Apartments in Lawrenceville.

No charges are pending.
