"I've dropped two pant sizes and I feel great!" Deen, 65, told People magazine. According to the article, she now walks 30 minutes every day and is eating about half of what she used to.
While critics may want to know just how much weight Deen has dropped, the star says she doesn't actually own a scale.
"We don't own a scale in our house," says Deen. "Every six months I go for a physical and find out. Now it's time to see the doctor. She'll be so happy if I've lost weight."
Almost 26 million people have diabetes; 18.8 million people have been diagnosed and an estimated 7 million are undiagnosed, according to the American Diabetes Association.
