DECATUR-Matador Mexican Cantina in Decatur has a popular taco bar and patio so it's recent score of 51 was a bit of a surprise.
That's why we headed out to Decatur to check it out. Right away we noticed a problem. That low score, from a health inspection on March 9, was not posted on the wall when we visited the restaurant on March 14th.
Manager Justin Hylton told us his brother had the report and that he would put it up. In the meantime, he said they had corrected all their problems.
Some of the issues included mechanical issues with their walk in cooler and the dishwasher. All the food in the cooler had to be thrown out because it was out of temperature, meaning, it was above 41 degrees fahrenheit.
Take a look at our story and the report to see the issues. Following our visit the restaurant had a risk evaluation done to make sure everything was top notch and was expecting an A on a reinspection.
