ATLANTA-This past week we ran into a rare situation at a downtown Atlanta lunch spot frequented by government workers. It was shut down by the Fulton County Health Department.
On Tuesday Mama Mia's Pizzeria was closed by court order and the restaurant was fined $2000. It followed a series of Unsatisfactory health inspections. Fulton County Health Department Officials said the restaurant had agreed to voluntarily close until the problems were fixed.
However, health inspectors found it stayed open and still not in compliance which is why they went to court.
The owner of the restaurant Mohammad Dehdasht was told he had to stay closed until he could score a 70 or better. On Thursday he reopened after getting a 92 or an A.
