ATLANTA -- Over the past few weeks, the price at the pump has been sharply rising. The average now for a gallon of regular unleaded around Atlanta is $3.56, and it's climbing.

This trend has drivers concerned, since August is usually a month when they see price reductions.

This past July marked the biggest jump in gas prices in a summer month in 12 years.

Why is this happening, now? Analysts say there are a combination of factors including a de-valued dollar and continued problems in the Middle East.
