Huntington, WV (Sports Network) - Wide receiver Devon Smith has decided to
transfer from Penn State to Marshall.
Smith became the latest player to leave the Nittany Lions in the wake of the
Jerry Sandusky child sex-abuse case.
"Devon is a great young guy, has tremendous talent and is one of the fastest
players in the country," Thundering Herd coach Doc Holliday said. "He is a
member of the Marshall family now and we're excited about it."
Smith, who enters his senior year and will be eligible this season, played in
all 13 games last season and caught 25 passes for 402 yards with a pair of
touchdowns.
