ATLANTA -- Officials say the newly proposed open-air stadium now carries a price tag of $1.2 billion -- almost $300 million more than the $948 million originally quoted.
Roger Godell says Atlanta needs a new stadium if it plans on ever hosting another Super Bowl. The 20-year-old stadium has previously hosted the 1996 Olympics, numerous concerts and college football games.
However, Doug Richards found that many Atlantans are conflicted about whether they want to pay for a new stadium or not.
