MILTON, Ga. -- Milton's City Council honored the Milton High School Girls Lacrosse team at their meeting on Monday.
A proclamation was read in honor of the team's 2012 state championship. City Councilwoman Karen Thurman announced the honor. She is a supporter of the team, as her daughter plated on two previous championship squads.
The girls lacrosse team also took the state title in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011.
