MARIETTA, Ga. -- The United States Army has selected Walton Senior High School student Brandon Kublanow for the 2013 All-American Bowl.
Kublanow will formerly receive his invite and jersey at a Pep Rally outside the school's football stadium on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. His family, friends, teammates and classmates will attend.
The Army will also recognize Kublanow's coach, Rocky Hidalgo, by inviting him to travel to San Antonio with Kublanow. San Antonio is the location of the game, set for January 5.
"Brandon Kublanow is a talented athlete whose leadership and teamwork qualities have made him a standout at Walton Senior High School," said John Myers, Director of Marketing, Army Marketing and Research Group. "Only the strongest wear the Army colors, and Brandon Kublanow possesses mental, emotional and physical strengths similar to the Army Strong Soldier, that have afforded him that honor. We are proud to welcome all of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl players and commend each of them on their selection."
As part of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, each person selected is honored at a Selection Tour event in their hometown. The tour runs through the fall season, and selects a total of 90 players.
