CONYERS, Ga. -- The Conyers Police Department's Community Outreach Program will hold several robbery prevention seminars from Tuesday, October 9 through Thursday, October 11.
According to Jennifer Edwards, Director of PR and Tourism, Deputy City Clerk, police hope the seminars will help teach local business owners and workers what to do if a robbery occurs.
The seminars are free for those who attend.
"The holidays are almost upon us and we recognize that crimes of opportunity become more prevalent," Chief Gene Wilson said. "We want to ensure the safety of businesses and their patrons during the holiday season and year-round."
Six seminars are lined up. The schedule is as follows:
-Tuesday, October 9 from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at Conyers Commons
-Wednesday, October 10 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Conyers Plaza
-Wednesday, October 10 from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at Rockdale Plaza
-Wednesday, October 10 from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Conyers Chick-Fil-A
-Thursday, October 11 from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Northside Village
-Thursday, October 11 from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at Conyers Crossroads
