Juanita Graves becomes emotional in court during testimony Wednesday.
DECATUR, Ga. -- An emotional breakdown unfolded on the witness stand Wednesday during the sentencing phase of a man convicted of killing two DeKalb County police officers.
The breakdown came from Juanita Graves, the aunt of William Woodard. Woodard now faces the death penalty for the murders of police officers Ricky Bryant and Eric Barker.
A jury found Woodard guilty last Friday - now, the jurors must decide if he will be put to death.
Graves was testifying on behalf of her nephew, asking the jury to spare his life, when she broke down on the stand.
After her outburst, the prosecution declined to cross-exam Graves based on her mental state.
