ATHENS, Ga. -- The deadline for submitting an application to the Historic Preservation Commission in Athens is Monday, October 22.
Forms can be turned in until 4 p.m. at the Dougherty Street Governmental Building.
According to the Athens-Clarke County Government, the Historic Preservation Commission is made up of seven members of ACC residents, appointed by the Mayor of Commission for three-year terms. The Commission reviews applications for Certificates of Appropriateness and makes recommendations to the Mayor and Commission on the protection of historic resources in the community.
