DeKalb Police coordinating a manhunt after a shooting at a Panola Road Family Dollar store Friday morning.
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- A manhunt for an armed robbery suspect forced Redan Middle School to lock down temporarily Friday morning.
DeKalb County Police said the suspect fired shots during a robbery at a nearby Family Dollar store on Panola Road and Young Road, then exchanged shots with police. Police said the suspect fled into the woods and may have holed himself up in a home.
A perimieter was set up along Panola Road between Marbut and Young roads during the search and SWAT teams were called in.
A man was taken into custody early Friday afternoon.
No other details were released and no injuries were reported.
