Davis, CA (Sports Network) - Tyler Les came off the bench to score 18 points
as the UC Davis Aggies made easy work of the Eastern Washington Eagles, 87-65,
in non-conference action at The Pavilion.
Les shot 4-of-6 from three-point range for UC Davis (2-6), while J.T. Adenrele
added 13 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks. Josh Ritchart tallied 14
points and seven boards for the home team, while Ryan Sypkens and Paolo
Mancasola netted 10 points apiece.
For EWU (2-8), Parker Kelly scored 17 points, Justin Crosgile had 15 points,
and Thomas Reuter finished with 10 points. Venky Jois was just 1-of-7 from the
field but he grabbed 12 rebounds.
UC Davis made 51.9 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half as it
took a 40-32 lead into intermission. EWU was just 11-of-34 in the frame, but
an astounding 10 of those field goals came from beyond the arc.
The Eagles drained another seven three-pointers after the break, but the
Aggies used a 22-8 run midway through the second half to pull away.
The Aggies converted 13 EWU turnovers into 19 points, while they coughed the
ball up just four times themselves.
