Stillwater, OK (Sports Network) - Markel Brown scored 21 points and handed out
six assists as the Oklahoma State Cowboys rolled over the Texas Tech Red
Raiders, 79-45, in a Big 12 matchup at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Phil Forte added 19 points off the bench and Philip Jurick collected 11
rebounds for Oklahoma State (12-4, 2-2 Big 12) which had lost three of its
previous four contests.
Jaye Crockett scored 11 points and Jordan Tolbert chipped in 10 for Texas
Tech (8-8, 1-4) which has lost four straight.
At the end of the first half Oklahoma State led 35-23 after hitting
47.8 percent of its field goal attempts, including 4-of-8 from beyond the
arc, while holding Texas Tech to 37.5 percent.
In the second half the Red Raiders managed to collect only four field goals
while shooting 18.2 percent from the field to allow the Cowboys to coast to
victory.
The Cowboys had a 43-26 edge on the boards and a 14-3 advantage in second
chance points.
