San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Jamaal Franklin recorded a double-double with
14 points as the San Diego State Aztecs defeated the Fresno State Bulldogs,
75-53, in a Mountain West Conference clash at Viejas Arena.
Franklin contributed 11 rebounds in the Aztecs' (18-5, 6-3 MWC) victory. James
Rahon also added 14 points. Winston Shepard chipped in 10 points off the
bench.
For the Bulldogs (8-14, 2-7), Tyler Johnson was two boards shy of a double-
double with 14 points. Braeden Anderson recorded 12 points and six rebounds.
Marvelle Harris added 11 points and three assists as Fresno State lost for the
fifth time in the last six tries.
SDSU jumped out on an early 10-2 run, en route to a 25-17 advantage at the
break.
Fresno State gave up a 13-2 run to start the second half and trailed by as
many as 29 points in the final 20 minutes.
SDSU made 50 percent from the floor, including 8-of-16 from long-range, and
held the Bulldogs to a mere 4-of-19 beyond the arc on the night.
