DAWSONVILLE, Ga. -- A two-vehicle collision killed two people on Tuesday morning in north Forsyth County.
Deputy Courtney Spriggs said that the Sheriff's office was called to an accident just before 9:00 a.m. on Highway 53.
A 42-year old man was driving a white 1994 BWM eastbound on Highway 53, when he crossed over into the westbound lane. The man collided head-on with a red 1991 Honda Civic, driven by a 29-year-old woman of Forsyth County.
The man and woman were both pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in either car involved.
Deputies have not yet released the names of the victims, and are waiting until next-of-kin is notified.
Georgia State Patrol will continue to investigate the incident. The reason for the crash remains unknown.
