WINDER, Ga. -- To Brianna Knight, her 18-month-old daughter was a beacon of light.
"Best baby in the world," said Knight. "Everyone loved Kharma. This has touched everyone because of her."
Knight was released from Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta Wednesday after treatment for burns she suffered trying to rescue her child from her family's burning home. Her father, Russ Sauls, and Brianna Knight's sister, Wynn Sauls, are both still hospitalized.

18-month-old Kharma Knight died from smoke inhalation.
"She was so beautiful," said the child's mother. "She really did cheer everyone up."
Brianna Knight reached out to 11Alive to express her thanks for the people who have sent words of sympathy and have donated goods to help the family get back on their feet.
"A lot of it has been people we don't know," said Knight. "It's been one of the things that's keeping us positive."
Investigators have determined that Wednesday's fire was likely caused by an electrical failure in the room where Kharma Knight was sleeping.
Although she didn't want to talk much about the family's escape from the fire, Knight said her father and sister had to jump from the roof of the house. Russ Sauls was burned over 80-percent of his body. Most of his injuries came from his efforts to get back inside the house to save his granddaughter.
"Dad went in several times," said Knight. "The firefighters had to pull him out. I tried to break into her double doors but the fire was right there at it."
In Winder, donations have arrived by the box load at Winder Wesleyan Church.
"There's a mother that's lost her baby, and she's grieving," said Pastor Greg Moore. "She's planning a funeral. We also know the needs are extensive. They're not short term."
The church has started a Facebook page called Sauls Family-Prayer and Needs. The church's Facebook page includes information about what the family needs.
Friends have set up a bank account for the family. Donations can be made to the Sauls Family Benefit Fund at the Community and Southern Bank in Winder.
