Your guide to saving big with Teacher Appreciation Week deals

Retailers and restaurants are taking time to appreciate teachers.

Teachers: get your stomachs ready for all the free and discounted food that's about to enter your bellies.

Tuesday, May 2 signals the start of Teacher Appreciation Week where teachers can get some sweet, sweet discounts for almost two weeks straight. 

Below is a list of places offering the discounts and freebies. Note that a valid school I.D. is required.

Food

Chick-fil-A: On May 2, teachers, educators and administrators get a free chicken sandwich meal.

Chipotle: On May 2, teachers, faculty and staff can nab a burrito, bowl, salad, or taco when they purchase another. The offer is valid beginning at 3PM and a teacher must present a valid school ID.

Food Lion: Another May 2 celebration cites that teachers, faculty and staff can receive 5% MVP discount off of the total purchase. 

Jimmy Johns: This is the one offer valid for everybody -- not just teachers. Tuesday, May 2 will see $1 subs from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. That $1 deal is only available in person.

PDQ: Tuesday, May 9 will see teachers and nurses getting 50% off of their check.

Which Which: Teachers who are also Which Which Vibe Club members get a free cookie with purchase of a sandwich. This deal goes until the 5.

World of Beer: May 9 will see all educators receiving a free Angry Orchard Crisp  Apple Cider, Sam Adams draught, or $5 off their check.

Retail

Banana Republic: Teachers and their students get 15% off every day.

Barnes & Noble: Teachers get 20% off when they join the educators program.

JoAnn Fabrics: 15% off can be had by teachers with a rewards card.

Loft: LOFT Loves Teachers program will have teachers getting 15% off.

Michael's: Teachers can get 15% off in store purchases.
