Dragon Con parade takes to Peachtree Street

ATLANTA -- Tens of thousands of people flocked to downtown Atlanta for the 30th annual Dragon Con on Labor Day weekend.

ATLANTA -- More than 75,000 people were expected to attend the event, which featured activities centered around science fiction, fantasy, gaming, comics and film.

The convention featured more than 200 performers and panelists including: William Shatner, Gillian Anderson, Karen Gillian, William Shatner, Alan Tudyk, Charlie Cox, Jack Gleeson, Eliza Dushka, Joey Fatone, Alex Kingston and Sam Jones.

Dragon Con Executive Director Dan Carroll said that the event would draw $67 million for the city of Atlanta. The event has proved so popular that organizers added a full slate of events on Thursday -- a day before the official festival kicked off. 

Perhaps the most popular event proved to be the Dragon Con parade, which was held on Saturday and featured a wide variety of superheroes, ghosts, ghouls -- and stuff we can't even explain. Take a look:
