ATLANTA — Just days after rapper Bankroll Fresh was killed in a hail of bullets, mourners will gather to hold a candle-light vigil to remember him.
The rapper, whose real name is Trentavious White, was killed Friday night outside of the Street Execs recording studio in northwest Atlanta after an unknown shooter unloaded more than 50 rounds from a gun, with an unknown number of those bullets striking him. When police arrived, they found a large crowd fleeing from the location.
While the investigation is ongoing and police are still searching for a suspect, fans plan to remember the up-and-coming rapper at a vigil at the Blue Ivory Lounge in Atlanta.
News of White's death spread quickly online when 11Alive News first broke the news of the shooting. It drew reactions from fans and top-name rappers alike.
Atlanta-based rappers T.I. and 2 Chainz took to social media to express their disbelief at White's death.
Meanwhile, neighbors and business owners around the studio called for it to be shut down, as they point to the studio for a recent spike in crime.
The vigil will take place at the lounge at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 8.
