Bobby Brown put on a show Saturday night, singing and dancing and thanking fans for their support.
But he also got emotional while speaking out for the first time about his daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
While she remains on life support, after being found unconscious on Jan. 31 in her Roswell, Ga., home, Brown stepped out to play at the Soul Food Festival in Los Angeles.
"I wanna thank all of y'all for coming out tonight, for supporting me and my family," he said, after his opening song. "Rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times. I don't know what the hell I'm going through right now, but I'm giving it to God."
Brown is in charge of making the medical decisions for his daughter with late superstar Whitney Houston.
While Brown was onstage, his wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, due in July with the couple's second child, manned the Bobby Brown Foods booth at the festival, selling chicken, sausage and spices, reports People. Etheredge-Brown said that the family is "doing as well as you'd expect."
